Mirasis Xathra in all her wonderful stupid glory! ~~~~~~~~~
History: Mirasis is the daughter of a Heroine known as the Solar Talon Sisarim. A name that has been well traveled about the world in her search for the legendary artifact Exuva. When Sisarim conceived Mirasis, she left the child with a few friends, promising to return later on. Her foster parents, the Xathras raised the girl alongside their son as if she were their own and growing up, Mirasis took on their name out of respect for their care even knowing they weren't her real parents. While many children would view their parents with resentment after having been left behind for 16 years without even having seen them, Mirasis read stories instead of her mother's exploits and looked up to her, training day in and day out to become a Hero that would make the famous Solar Talon proud. As a child, she was admittedly a little odd. No one knew why she couldn't cast spells like all the other children of the small town of Ernedale. Naturally, this made her a bit of a joke and adding to that her almost unstoppable habit of getting into trouble was no end of worry for her family and the village. Yet she always managed to get back up and go start some new problem up. People started to see the adventurous side of her rising up, and with the reputation of Sisarim, it was just something they would endure. One day, it was just time to go. She packed up, was given gifts from her family and village and began her adventure, seeking the great artifact 'Exuva' on her mother's trail. Along the way, Mirasis made a name for herself as a Hero, but to the government, she was an outlaw when she defeated a corrupt government official who ran Syla's town. And as she journeyed, she ran across many more friends, and picked up some allies to journey across the world with her on their grand Adventure. Quince the Reaver from the flying technology haven Arcadia. Omni Viceray from a stasis crystal deep in a cave. Sigmund the Vulcanguard of Ringfire City. They are everything to her. Even Omni.
She spent her whole life physically training herself to make up for her inability to spellcast. She herself didn't find out about Lightbenders until a few months after leaving Ernedale. Her swordsmanship stems from instinct and extremely fine-tuned finesse in a flurry of motion without being wastefully 'showy'.
Personality: Mirasis only wants one thing and that thing is to adventure around and have fun. That being said, she sees adventure everywhere and has a terrible knack of getting into tremendous trouble for it. Even so, she has a very optimistic personality that infectiously effects those around her, inspiring hope and determination as she goes. She doesn't usually say much, as her mind travels almost 4 times faster than most people. This doesn't mean she is much smarter, it simply means that her perception of time is slower. So in order to understand and hear what people are saying, she has to reduce her intellectual capacity, thus, in conversation, she doesn't seem very bright at all and still retains all that personality. Yet in the heat of battle or when on alert, Mirasis takes a bit of a shift as, one, her vernacular picks up and reveals she is rather educated, and two, makes her seem rather twitchy as she moves about much quicker. At the end of the day, though, it is more like a light switch without tainting the fun-loving personality of her's. On that note, another aspect of Mirasis is her sense of Justice. She has an extremely hard time simply letting terrible things happen before her and even if it isn't the right solution, she will do something about it if she can. Combined with fierce determination, this can make her a very potent enemy for the more villainously inclined. Yet even with this powerful need to stop evil, she has yet to resort to killing someone. Taking life only begets more death and she refuses to stoop to the level of a common murderer to get where she needs to go.
Chosen by: The Book [She screwed up and didn't get a gift.]
Lightbender is the name given to her Race. Where the rest of the world has magic in a field around them, Lightbenders have that field contained within themselves. This allows them to feed off the of the magic of the sun and in turn the essence of their power. She has all those abilities up there from the super strength to the super speed only because she has energy from the sun. If she's blocked off from the sun for too long, she'll start losing her powers and ultimately get sick to the point of death.
And it really is a fun personality to work with so I'm more surprised to see characters like this not running around as much xD
Also, what does being a Lightbender mean? Is that just vernacular for mages?

Can't wait to see more!
