Name: Mirasis Novablade
Title: The 11th Archon "Novablade"
Personality: Optimist || Defender || Adventurer || Reckless || Leader
Guided by intuition, impulse, and courage, she looks forward to each new day as a brand new adventure!
While Mirasis does aim to be good she can't help but constantly tempt fate. You see, all Alsor try to see how many awesome stories they can brag about and the best stories are the ones that are too amazing to make up.
Also, try not to mention being good at combat around her. Cultural obligations state that she needs to put those words to the test.
If she gets too much mana, her glowing blue eyes turn golden. At this point, Mirasis is LOOKING for something to vent the excess mana on and in turn makes our usually pleasant adventurer quite pleasantly aggressive. "Hi there! I kinda need to vent mana and you look kinda strong so I'm gonna attack you nowkayhereIgo!" No need to be rude about it after all.
+ Bandits, thugs, and lowlives (to beat up, of course).
+ Exploration, travel, experiencing the world.
+ Fighting powerful opponents.
+ Great stories of other adventurers.
- Indecisive people.
- Lame stories.
- Lying braggarts. (Literally the most offensive thing to an Alsor.)
+ Superior physical prowess. Amplified strength, agility, and stamina. It's a spell that runs off mana in their muscles that won't turn off. More mana = more power.
+ Can emit a pocket of slowed time on everyone in the area.
-People can feel time slow and through immense mental or physical exertion can break the hold. She is unaffected by the bubble and can move normally in it.
+ Can compress time and move so fast she looks like she is teleporting if she is linked up to Tal or Omni.
- No magic spell will ever do what it was inteded to against her. The spell will only explode the mana in her, draining energy for her powers. (Incidentally, making her slower, weaker, and exhausted with every hit.)
- Spells tend to home in on her.
- Extremely dependent on mana. Sunlight is the best source. One week with no mana makes her extremely sick and powerless. This means staying in places with no sunlight makes her uncomfortable.
+ Uses Twin Alsorian Rays. They can extend and retract at will. They look like energy weapons but are solidified forms of liquid crystal fed by her mana to make them strong enough to slice through steel.
+ Skilled with almost any weapon and unarmed combat.
Her fighting style changes with weapons but she is consistent in her relentless aggression and acrobatic agility.
If the enemy is a braggart or obviously strong, Mirasis WILL attempt to see how fast she can beat them down in the first wave of her assault. If they can fend her off or get back up after this, she will mellow out and become much more tactical.
Alsor means translates roughly as "People of the Celestial Fury". A race of warriors who live and die in battle in an eternal hunt for 'Anra'as' and boasting rites. To show how important boasting is, their food halls are enchanted with magic to detect lies and there is even a committee to judge these boasts. Their reward? Nothing. It is a rule to not reward someone who wins a boasting challenge because it breaks the spirit of it. Boasts are inspirational after all and as the Sun lights the path of the world, so too do Boasts light the way to aims of glory. Strength is what is honored in the Alsor and there are many ways to be strong. Cunning, Combat, Intellect, and Craft are among the many and the better you are, the more revered in the culture you are. The very 'best' sit among the council. Even with this warrior-mentality, the Alsor are not a warring nation and no nation is dumb enough to attack them for the little speck of land they hold. A once-existing kingdom tried to enslave the Alsor to use as soldiers. Key word here being 'once'.
A very personal and very secret aim. This can change quite often, but most Alsor stick with one until it is done and others like keeping their Anra'as intangible, like Mirasis.
"A ray of light in the dark unknown with friends from faraway places."
Alsor don't ever tell what their Anra'as is, even if they keep bringing it up as a reason for their actions.
Mirasis helped save Tal's tribe from slavery to a pirate ship and ever since has earned Tal's loyalty. Mirasis really enjoys having Tal around and treats her like a little sister. Unfortunately for Tal, that means getting playfully teased Alsor style, ranging from bops on the nose to other terrible antics. But when it is time to make a decision, Mirasis will lead and devotes her trust in Tal to see her tasks completed.
When paired with a Mage, like Omni or Tal, Mirasis is able to go into Archon form, becoming a being of immense energy. This completely drains the mage of mana but Omni and Tal won't think twice to do this, just as Mirasis will think twice before asking due to how exhausted and sickly the mage become after.
